An influx of patients with respiratory symptoms has started filling rooms in Rush University Medical Center, one of Chicago’s premiere hospitals. Anticipating an overflow in the coming days and weeks, hospital administrators opted to convert the spacious lobby into a triage facility for non-COVID-19 patients.
The facility will feature nursing stations, beds and waiting rooms. It will be set up in this manner indefinitely.
