9,000+ Retired Army Medical Personnel Have Volunteered to Join the Fight Against COVID-19

ABC News reports that, in response to a communication sent out to some 800,000 retired soldiers, over 9,000 retired US Army medics have already indicated their willingness to return to service in a volunteer capacity. These individuals may ultimately replace active-duty staff who have been transferred away from military facilities in order to respond to the pandemic.
